What is a process server? Person who is legally authorized to deliver official court documents, such as summonses, complaints, Eviction, Notice of right of redemption for property sold in a tax sale to individuals involved in a lawsuit, ensuring they are notified about legal proceedings against them; effectively acting as a courier to officially serve legal documents and making sure the suitable person receives them, consequently enabling the court case to move forward properly.
Their primary job is to hand-deliver legal documents to the labeled recipient, posting notices on properties for eviction and or sold in a tax sale, serving the county, states attorney, and resident agents.
Serving legal documents can be stressful, you must have the documents served by an individual that is not related to the case. Must know the laws to serving an individual correctly to ensure when the service is complete the affidavit is served in an acceptable manner to the courts. We will take care of serving the individual (s) for you in a professional manner. We will also file the “Affidavit of Service” on your behalf to the appropriate court.
Occasionally process servers will have to locate individuals who are intentionally avoiding being served. This can take many attempts to track someone down and serve them accordingly to the state’s statue. NOT all summons, or complaints are bad news. We will do all the work in locating the person or persons that need to be served. We serve all of Maryland and DC, we also serve jails and detention centers.
